At the Friends meeting House, Ship Street. 18:00 Anti-war art exhibition and nibbles, 19:00 Poetry, acoustic musicians and the amazing sounds of ‘Just Sing’ political peace choir.
Wednesday 25th-Friday 28th February.
At the Cowley Club, 12 London Road. 12:00- 16:00 Art exhibition and Cafe. Images from the Smash EDO campaign and the world events that inspired the resistance to Brighton’s local bomb makers. Including:
* Guy Smallman, international photojournalist. On-the-ground photography from Israel’s invasion of Lebanon 2006.
* The classic line drawings of John Catt, Veteran anti-war activist.
* Photography by Medyan Dairieh, Al-Jazeera journalist.
Saturday 28th February.
At the Cowley Club, 12 London Road 13:00 Film showing of ‘On the Verge’, the Schnews feature length film of the Smash EDO campaign. The film the police tried to ban!
At the Westhill Community Centre, Compton Avenue (near 7 Dials)
13:00-14:30 Clandestine Rebel Clown army training
15:00-16:30 Radical cheerleading: make pom-poms, write cheers and practice your moves.
16:30-19:30 Carnival creations and mask-making.
Sunday 1st March
At the Albert Pub, Trafalgar Street. 20:00 till late Benefit finale with an array of bands. Please see website for band listings.
